The Civil Liability and Insurance Section of the Royal and Illustrious Bar Association of Zaragoza has organized the 28th Congress on Civil Liability and Insurance.

The Congress will begin on Thursday with a presentation by José Luis Seoane, Justice of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court, on “Causal Relationship and its Determination in Claims and Civil Liability: Case Law.” Subsequent presentations will be given by José Antonio Badillo, PhD in Law and Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Alcalá, who will discuss recent developments in traffic law, and María Ángeles Parra, Justice of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court, who will review the 25 years since the Building Regulations Act (LOE) came into effect in the courts, addressing consumer rights and the liability of those involved in construction.

The first conference on Friday will focus on critical issues of civil liability arising from workplace accidents and occupational diseases. The session will be led by Justice Juan Molins García-Atance of the Fourth Chamber of the Supreme Court, while Justice Julián Sánchez Melgar of the Second Chamber of the Supreme Court will speak on civil liability arising from a crime.

The Congress will conclude with a mindfulness session led by instructor and coach Victoria Ríos and a practical workshop on the myriad problems of home insurance, featuring Justice Beatriz López Frago of the Second Section of the Provincial Court of Toledo, industrial engineer and insurance appraiser José Manuel Martínez Hernández, and lawyer Emilio Echevarría Burillo.
